Today at Semiahmoo, CHANG got on in two and drained an eagle putt to go two under at the first short par five hole. On the second hole, it was like watching Tiger shape a shot to the green right to left no more than eight feet to the pin. He calmly slam dunk the putt for a birdie. Easy game this is! Three under in 2 holes. I can’t even remember Tiger going this low on the first few holes of a round but for CHANG, no problem.

JOE is no slouch either, raking up pars after pars, and finishing with a birdie on the 9th – to tie CHANG at the front nine with a scintillating 38 (net 37).

No wonder the two are atop the 2012 UPS CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERBOARD with 236 and 201 points, respectively! MILES is 3rd at 198. Our single-digit players are proving that a short iron approach is a lot easier than a full rescue – which means that being long at the tee has its benefit since these three are our leaders in driving distance. In addition, they are also deadly with their putters.

Our 2011 champ, ED, is plagued with injuries and is trailing the leader by more than 150 point.

Here is the complete and up-to-date statistics:

We anticipate a FULL HOUSE this Thursday! What that means is that the prize money would be substantial. The winner could conceivably move way up in the standings.

See you all Thursday!
