Mathematically, anyone in the top six has a chance to win the 2011 UPS CHAMPIONSHIP this Thursday at Mayfair Lakes.
Ten players could still win 2nd place. Eleven players could take 3rd place.
There was an assault on Loomis last Thursday. It is golf seen only on TV. For what he accomplished, EUGENE should be crowned “BirdieHunter of the Year”. He has eclipsed the record of MILES for the most birdies in one single round – FIVE (5).
His dad, CHANG HJ, could only manage three (3) birdies for his great game.
However, there is another story worth covering. Another CHANG, nicknamed “Mini-Kong” continues to have a stranglehold of the SB#1 crown. In his last three games with the hunters, he was a winner. In fact, if records are to be examined, he holds the distinction of having the best ratio of wins against attendance.
Before September, he had ZERO (0) points at 23rd place. On the September 1st, he jumped to 14th place with a net 65. When he again showed up on October 13th, he climbed to 10th place. Today, he sits at 7th place with his 3rd place win last week. Who trails him? Everyone except the top six! Like Usain Bolt, he sprinted through SIXTEEN (16) hunters in less than two months.
